Job Summary
Avient Protective Materials has very demanding business targets requiring an agile and flexible manufacturing organization to support both growth and innovation. Quality in the broadest sense is gaining importance in the Dyneema business in a rapid pace. You have an important role in shaping the quality culture and processes on site, and continuous improving the quality standard. Beyond that, you enable our business to excite our customers with great quality Dyneema products.
In addition, you provide quality support and oversight to make sure quality risks on site are sufficiently controlled, and to ensure quality compliance with relevant rules and regulations, in order to keep the Dyneema standard on quality on a high level.
All of the above happens in close cooperation with other parts of the business, both locally in Heerlen and globally within APM Dyneema (M&S, DSCM, Global Quality, Innovation; and especially the Dyneema manufacturing site in Greenville, NC, USA).
The Challenge
For our Avient Protective Materials (APM) site in Heerlen we are currently looking for a Quality Officer.
As a Quality Officer you provide quality support and oversight to make sure quality risks on site are sufficiently controlled and ensure quality compliance with relevant rules and regulations, in order to get APM Dyneema Heerlen to the next level on quality. Being part of Dyneema’s QESSH Department you will join an ambitious and dynamic team of professionals.
Essential Functions
- You perform trending, analysis and reporting on manufacturing quality capabilities for management reviews and periodic reports (KPI’s, process and QC capabilities, complaints, validations etc.)
- You identify and give advices on priority issues on the basis of this analysis.
- You investigate and handle of customer complaints efficiently with focus on continuous improvement, as a member of the complaint handling team.
- You play a pro-active role in stimulating quality awareness and quality behavior throughout the organization and especially on shopfloor level.
- You act as key user SAP-QM for the site, and have an important role in updating master data in SAP-QM and MES2 as part of the management of change process.
- You release or block material on the basis of the quality results. You control the automatic releases via SAPQM.
- You organize and control the QC work process of testing Dyneema products in an efficient way.
- You take part in quality risk assessment like Q FMEA’s, food risk assessments and RCA’s.
- You take part in quality observation rounds on the shopfloor.
- You are taking care of budgets and purchase orders for services and goods related to the QESSH department.
- You manage small quality projects or implement quality changes on request
- Other projects / duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Do you have an MBO+/HBO level of education and thinking?
- Do you have experience in a quality environment?
- Do you have knowledge on SAP-QM or at least experience and affinity with SAP in general?
- Are you a Six Sigma Green Belt or are you willing to learn? Are you a good communicator, accurate, analytical, proactive, practical, and flexible
