Test Center is a stand-alone plant that produces antibiotic residue tests which are used by the milk and meat industry to test on antibiotic residues in different stages of the production chain. In addition, Test Center supplies equipment used for testing antibiotic residue tests. It is a small production facility that has more of the looks of a laboratory rather than a factory. In total, we have about 25 people working on-site, managed by the Plant Manager.

As a QC Specialist, you will become the subject matter expert in the field of laboratory analyses for product release. Being part of a small team with 2 lab technicians, you need to show/explain the needs, benefits and fun to conduct continuous quality improvement. The QC Specialist has a staff job with indirect hierarchical power and with challenging targets toward quality awareness and improvement to be reached within the functional line organizations.
Communication overall functional disciplines and departments are necessary to fulfill the function. The QC Specialist has to be a specialist in the field of quality, but at the same time to be able to translate the knowledge into practical approaches and solutions. He or she must be able to handle pressure because of many short-term issues vs. keeping the broader picture of long-term improvements.

Key-responsibilities

  • Guarantees an efficient quality control process that corresponds to the actual norms, specifications and
    timelines.
  • Organize all activities to release raw materials, intermediates and final products. Advice production
    department with relation to the quality of the raw materials, intermediate and final products
  • Lead and execute QC projects related to product or process validations, laboratory standards and
    procedures and LIMS implementation.
  • Coach and motivate lab employees, create a positive work environment
  • Evaluate the reports of analysis and communicate them within the organization to anticipate events and
    bring up actions to continuously improve.
  • Assure effective maintenance of lab equipment, organization of shelf life studies on the spore suspensions
  • Monitoring and reporting the QC parameters and KPIs and act upon them when needed. New processes in the
    lab are introduced in a validated way
  • Propose improvement with relation to quality, efficiency and SHE and lead implementation where needed.

You Bring

  • Experience in Quality Control and/or a Laboratory environment
  • Experience with at least ISO 9001 and internal audits (Continuous improvement mindset)
  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferably at least 1-year experience in projects/project management
  • Knowledge of microbiology
  • You are an analytical problem solver who enjoys working in a team and reaching goals together.
