Lead Turnarounds – DSM

Location: Emmen, The Netherlands
Hours: 40

The challenge

You will be a major part of the Grow2Win strategy by leading and developing the change process of the current Turnaround organization into a World Class example. Ensure the high-performance execution of all the TA activities and realize a Happy People, World Class Safety and Continuous Improvement culture.

The key responsibilities

  • Lead and coach the Turnaround team
  • Responsible and accountable for safe and excellent execution of the entire Turnaround process including coordination, planning, scheduling and execution of ALL work (including Large Capital Projects, Small Projects), in line with the DSM requirements
  • Responsible for the completion of all TA scope within budget, planning en SHEQ targets
  • Responsible for carrying out the Turnaround according to current DSM SHE requirements and control of maintenance, engineering & construction contractors
  • Accountable for proven capabilities of the contractors and capability systems at a contractor to DSM Emmen standards
  • Stimulate Continuous improvement and define and execute operational improvement programs
  • Execute HR and QESH processes in line with DSM and BG/BU guidelines and systems to guarantee a workforce that meets current and future requirements in terms of quality and quantity
  • Promote a positive SHE attitude, internal and external in compliance with all regulations
  • Proactive approach towards SHE focused on preventing unsafe situations and executing the Life Saving Rules Policy

The ideal

You will match with this role if you have:

  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree (Mechanical or E&I)
  • Proven leadership and at least 3-5 years of work experience preferably in a related field
  • A continuous improvement and SHE mindset (I care, We care) and ability to lead by example
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering and procurement procedures
  • Good command in Dutch and Englisch or a willing to learn
  • Proven planning and organizing, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • A good overview of performance drivers to prioritize the work

you will perform well in this role if you are:

  • able to engage with your workforce and lead them on the continuous journey of customer service, change and improvement
  • a strong communicator on all levels and a sparring partner for stakeholders, peers and operational management
  • building strong relationships with your employees, disciplines and stakeholders with different backgrounds to realize an effective approach
