HR Business Partner – Marel

Location: Lichtenvoorde, The Netherlands
Hours: 32- 40

Scope and Authority

The HR Business Partner is responsible for the general HR issues in the field of people and organization, such as recruitment and selection, assessment and development, communication and health management. The HR Business Partner contributes to continuously improving HR processes. As an HR Business Partner, you will be a coach/consultant for the line management. In addition to signalling developments and bottlenecks, the Consultant advises managers and team leaders and is a sparring partner for the HR Manager. In addition, the HR Business Partner is actively contributing to the realization of the overall HR agenda.

Main tasks

  • Advising and supporting the line management (also as a sparring partner) and employees within the policy boundaries and legislation, and handling HR tasks on a daily basis
  • Responsible for realizing HR goals that support the business and that are in line with the Company’s mission, vision and strategy, to contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization
  • Develop and manage the organization in retaining, developing and rewarding talent
  • Guidance concerning assessments, career development and management development
  • To independently organize and coordinate HR tasks for the “own” area
  • Providing asked for and unsolicited advice on all sorts of topics related to employees, management and organization such as personnel guidance, conflict management, absenteeism, occupational health and safety policy, dismissal and employment conditions
  • Contribute to further development of the HR policies and HR processes that are needed for the performance of the service function or Industry
  • As a “change agent”, contribute to organizational development, cultural changes and leadership development

Skills and Abilities

  • A fresh view of HR Consultant specialism, insightful and with an eye for the process
  • Is reliable, accurate, hands-on, pro-active and persistent
  • Has conviction, tact and an engaging vision in the field
  • Communicates easily at all levels
  • Has a thorough knowledge of the English language (spoken and written)
  • Has experience in working in multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR processes using various HR-instruments
  • Experience in working with a Personnel Information System, MS Office applications and SAP
  • Ability to communicate easily at all levels and within various layers of the organization
  • Insight and a natural curiosity for what is happening within the organization
  • Using their advisory skills, the HR Business Partner can build bridges and possesses a considerable amount of perseverance
  • In cooperation with others, the HR Business Partner looks for a common goal and approach and enjoys influencing both processes and other people
  • Stress resistant, with a critical view, accurate and detail-oriented, works independently and is result-oriented
  • The HR Business Partner has a flexible working attitude, is numerically strong and is able to work on a basis of confidentiality and integrity

Education, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in the field of Human Resource Management and / or Business Administration
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a (broad) generalist HR function, preferably in an international envi-ronment, and has experience at a tactical and operational level
  • Good English skills, both written and verbal as well as in local language
  • Experience with and comfort working in multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage
