DSM Nutritional Products at the Grenzach site is the competence center for the production of vitamins within the international group. A total of 700 employees are responsible for the production of the water-soluble vitamins B1, B2 and B6 and the fat-soluble vitamin D3. Then start your career now as a Process Safety Expert (m/f/d) and become part of our Process Safety Team in our Safety, Health and Environmental Protection Department. The department is divided into the areas of process safety, environmental protection and occupational health and safety and is responsible for ensuring compliance with legal and company safety regulations and processes. You can expect a varied and challenging field of activity and committed colleagues. The full-time position is to be filled immediately or by agreement in a permanent position.

Your tasks

  • Moderation and execution of technical process risk analyses in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Contact person for questions regarding technical plant and process safety at the Grenzach plant
  • Development and evaluation of protection concepts with regard to technical plant safety, the safety of machinery and pressure equipment as well as fire and explosion protection
  • Analysis and evaluation of legal requirements and their practical implementation at the site
  • Carrying out safety investigations of accidents or incidents
  • Supporting the implementation of DSM safety requirements and standards at the Grenzach plant
  • Safety evaluation of technical changes, deviations and projects
  • Active participation in the strategic further development of process and plant safety in the plant

Your professional experience and knowledge

  • Degree (MSc) in process engineering or chemical engineering, safety engineer or comparable discipline
  • Several years of professional experience in the chemical or process industry
  • Sound knowledge in performing risk analysis, especially HAZOP
  • Ability to lead cross-departmental teams professionally
  • Confident in implementing current safety requirements for chemical production plants
  • Proactive, independent action in a complex environment
  • High level of social competence and ability to work in a team
  • Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
