Commercial Support Assistant – DSM

Location: Delft, The Netherlands
Hours: 35-40

The Challange

We have a new role opening for a commercial assistant at DSM Proteins of the Future (POFU) business team as we are preparing commercialization of CanolaPRO® DSM innovative speciality plant protein as well as the intermediate products, protein blends and premixes.

Reporting to the Director of New Business Development, the Commercial Assistant will support and assist the Commercial and Application Team in facilitating and administrating the customer relationship. In this role, you must be able to work in a fast pace and cross-functional working environment. You will assist in the management and follow up of operational activities from the customer. Having a good customer service mindset and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the commercial team or assigned staff member and complete all allocated tasks.
  • Assist commercial team members with customers meetings preparations
  • Provide timely customer follow-up on samples shipments, product demos request, CRM entries
  • Check on feedback with customers on sample evaluation
  • Answer documentation requests to customers
  • Manage product demos: stock and inventory, shipment to customers, product sheets
  • Responsible for updating customer data and records in systems (CRM, SAP, etc.).
  • Keeping a log of everything learned and continuously contributing to sharing feedback to other team members (applications, products, etc.)
  • Support with preparing to shortlist of potential leads: sourcing contacts in companies, background through desk research, etc.

Qualifications

  • Effective verbal and written communication, organizational, prioritization skills are necessary.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members is required.
  • You are service-oriented and always strive for a high level of customer satisfaction and operational excellence
  • Good interpersonal skills: able to easily establish and maintain relationships and connections.
  • Good command of the English language (written spoken).
  • Proficient in MS Office tools
