Supply and Demand Planner (Third Party Planner)

The Contract Manufacturing Organisation planner (CMO planner) serves as the primary point of contact for CMO’s for demand and supply day to day activities. The CMO planner is responsible for the coordination of order demand and supply planning (API order and delivery, consumption of API at CMO, the production planning in alignment with customer contracts). Deals with issues related to the production of FDF and takes mitigating actions, in alignment with CMO manager, when necessary. The CMO planner is responsible for reporting and administrating relevant production-related data (e.g. SAP) and KPI reporting for the CMOs assigned to the portfolio. For this position cross-functional cooperation is essential and the CMO planner is a core team member of the cross-functional CMO teams.

Main Responsibilities

The primary point of contact for CMO’s on operational aspects with a focus on communicating and alignment on volume requirements and manufacturing at the CMO.
Supply planning

  • Responsible for transparency and alignment with API planners and purchasing to ensure API
    availability for the FDF business demand.
  • API ordering with API planners and consumption tracking with CMOs, including an annual stock
    count at CMOs in the assigned portfolio.
  • Responsible for monitoring actual production, compared with targets to ensure supply reliability
    Demand Planning, Consensus Forecast

    • Responsible for the preparation of the Finished dosage forms (FDF) demand plan for B to B (and
      updates) based on the annual DCS Plan and reviewed sales forecasts and deadlines.
    • Responsible for monitoring the FDF forecasted (unconstrained) based on information of the
      Customer Service Agent, ensuring that the demand supports the commercial plans and contracts with customers.
  • Leads and coordinates on routine frequency S&OP meetings with assigned CMOs and responsible to monitor and secure on time and in full supply of FDF orders.
  • Understand and acts in case of potential supply interactions, caused by deviations-complaints-un availability material-resources, etc
    Reporting & Administration
  • Responsible for providing information for decision-making with respect to CMO production of FDF
    and monitor relevant follow-up and for updates in SAP and other system-related tools, like IBP
    and NPL
  • Provide input and action on key performance indicators from CMO assigned
    Cross-functional alignment
  • Act as a core team member of the cross-functional CMO teams and bring relevant information
    from the function to the team meetings. Collects relevant data from other supply chain
  • Communicates any supply issues-challenges to the line manager, the CMO manager and the
    Customer Service Team.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 5 to 10 years of working experience, preferably in demand-supply chain planning or other supply chain-related roles, in generic Pharma.
  • Knowledge of planning tools
  • Knowledge of SAP R/3
  • Excellent English skills
  • Accurate and can work under pressure.
